THEA Horizon Europe Mentoring Programme

THEA Horizon Europe Mentoring Programme

During the 2022/2023 academic year, THEA organised a mentoring programme which brings together 20 researchers (10 mentors and 10 mentees) from across our five member organisations. The purpose of the programme is to increase the capacity of researchers from our member organisations to apply for and win funding from Horizon Europe, the flagship European framework programme for research and innovation (R&I). Each of the 10 mentors have extensive experience of Horizon Europe and/or the previous framework programmes for R&I. They are each offering their time to meet with a mentee, an up-and-coming researcher from another THEA member organisation to offer support, transfer their knowledge and guide them in seeking Horizon Europe funding. By organising this mentoring programme, THEA hopes to see a substantial increase in the number of researchers from our member organisations successfully competing to participate in Horizon Europe projects.

For #scienceweek2022 we are highlighting some of our researchers who are acting as mentors in our THEA Horizon Europe mentoring programme, designed to build up researchers’ confidence to apply for Horizon Europe funding.
