The project aims to improve the induction process and overall 1st year experience for the Mechanical Engineering programmes, by integrating student partners in the development of the induction and not just the delivery.

Ultimately, the aim is to improve inclusivity and the sense of belonging within the student group and thereby increase retention of students. It is hoped that the student partners will enable the development of engaging induction sessions.

A major focus of the project will be the development and delivery of an engineering-oriented group game/challenge-based induction workshop. Materials developed will also be utilised for course promotion.
