This project will be made up of a series of workshops focussed on somatic and physical skills involved in live theatre.

The aims are to:

  • Promote wellbeing and de-stress: many students are facing economic, mental and physical difficulties and this impacts their ability to learn and engage;
  • Promote skill learning in a non-assessed arena, thereby reducing stress and encouraging participation and play; and
  • Promote a greater sense of community by making these workshops available to all 4 years of the degree programme; isolation is a key factor in mental illness and this project is seeking to improve connections and peer support
