This project will involve collaboration between students, their teachers at MTU, international collaborators, and registered nurses within the associated partner healthcare services. 

A community of practice will be convened to collect the project data and then to implement recommendations for mapping SDG data to the general and mental health nursing curricula for current and future generations of nurses. 

In phase two of the project, the development of civic responsibility will be realised through the nursing students working collaboratively with registered nurses in identifying sustainable opportunities in waste management and the reduction in single-use plastics in the clinical environment.
