A Community Of Practice (COP) For Post Graduate Researchers

The PhD journey can be socially and intellectually isolating, and research degree programmes traditionally have high attrition rates.

The PhD journey can be socially and intellectually isolating, and research degree programmes traditionally have high attrition rates. With PhD student numbers at TUS growing, there is a need to find innovative ways to support students.

Developing a research culture that works towards a connected and collaborative educational environment that is inclusive for all students is central to this. This project will establish a dedicated, online community of practice in which students can find social and intellectual support from their peers across the multicampus University.

Training on joining and participating in the community will be provided, making learning more accessible and promoting the benefits of online engagement, where digital interventions can promote learning in a new and exciting way.
