Vacancies - Policy Analyst

We are seeking to employ a Policy Analyst to deliver on a project funded by the Department of Education and Skills to develop a Policy Framework and Action Plan to support Safe, Respectful and Positive Relationship Conduct in the Technological Higher Education Sector.

This will be a short-term, targeted project to support the implementation of the Framework for Consent in Higher Education Institutions: “Safe, Respectful, Supportive and Positive – Ending Sexual Violence and Harassment in Irish Higher Education Institutions” in the sector.

Working with a project Steering Group and under the direction of the THEA Head of Communications, the Policy Analyst will be expected to create a consistent and robust policy framework and action plans appropriate to the sector.

The indicative six-month project plan will consist of these five main tasks:

The person should have knowledge and experience of the higher education sector, ideally with at least three years’ experience in a policy development/project delivery role. Ideal candidates will already have an understanding of the Framework for Consent in Higher Education Institutions and/or relevant policy experience in the area of consent, sexual harassment or sexual violence.

Salary for the six-month project will be up to €59,622 on an annualised basis,[1] depending on qualifications and experience (which equates to up to €29,811 for the six months of the project).
