Dr Therese Moylan

Dr Therese Moylan is Head of Department of Entrepreneurship @ IADT and Chair of the Teaching and Learning Committee. 

Therese provides transformational leadership to her team and students. Using both practice and theory Therese has managed to initiate change in IADT’s approach to teaching entrepreneurship which has had a positive impact on her students, staff and key external stakeholders.  Therese has a particular interest in female entrepreneurship, having completed a PhD specifically researching Irish women entrepreneurs 1920 to 1970, with key seminal moments for women entrepreneurs in Ireland as well as women in Ireland politically, economically and socially.

Therese is active in promoting female entrepreneurship education in Ireland and in Europe. She is currently Vice President of the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, a research driven non profit organisation whose main objective is to advance the understanding of entrepreneurship and to improve the competitiveness of SMEs in Europe.  Therese holds  a BA, MBA and PhD and MIII Grad Diploma (Marketing).   As a role model for women in management Therese has published widely and acts as a mentor for researchers, and in particular young women researchers.
