THEQF
The Technological Higher Education Quality Framework (THEQF)
The THEQF was published in April 2017 and is a set of high-level, strategic guidance principles developed by and for the Technological Higher Education sector. The principles are about internal quality assurance and enhancement (IQAE) systems in technological higher education institutions. As a principles-based framework, it is neither prescriptive nor regulatory, but designed to reaffirm, rearticulate and support an already established culture of quality and enhancement. The THEQF is intended to be useful to those working with technological higher education institutions in a variety of roles, including management, quality officers, staff and learners.
The THEQF is developed and maintained by THEA and its member organisations, in consultation with partner higher education institutions and national and international agencies in the Irish and European higher education sectors.
