The Technological Higher Education Association (THEA) is pleased to work with the Department of Education & Skills, the HEA, the SEC, and the CAO to support this most significant change in the integrated processes that govern the determinations around the access to higher education. The shared purpose is to give effect to the broader implications of the recent judgement given in the High Court Judicial Review case taken by Ms Rebecca Carter.
We would like to thank our members, the fourteen institutes of technology, for working closely with us on what was a complicated exercise. The CEO of THEA, Dr Joseph Ryan, stated that “the THEA community shares with other critical actors in making this significant change in the interests of equity and fairness for all prospective students. This will facilitate a smoother transition to higher education in 2019.”
