This presentation is an overview of the key points outlined in the full Colloquium 2019 Discussion Paper. This paper explores the challenges facing technological higher education institutions in relation to courses offered at levels 6 and 7. Based on statistical data from the Central Applications Office, the demand and take-up of courses at levels 6 and 7 are analysed and presented in a single paper designed to spark a strategic discussion among education stakeholders around the future of levels 6 and 7 in higher education institutions.
