Companies located in the Media Cube, the on-campus incubator at IADT, are developing new technologies to assist with the crisis.
Two companies located in the Media Cube have developed new technologies to assist with the Covid-19 pandemic. Zendra Health has developed a novel self-screening mobile app for use in nursing homes, and Thinscale Technologies developed new software designed to offer clients the opportunity to work remotely with a high level of security.
Media Cube company, Zendra Health, in partnership with highly-renowned private nursing home proposes to build the first comprehensive COVID-19 Self-Screening mobile-based app for Nursing Homes in Ireland that empowers staff to manage risk, help maintain their mental wellbeing, access educational materials, perform self-screen assessments, and rapidly triage any potential outbreaks effectively

Market Readiness
The solution will be utilising existing technology provided by the Zendra Health Platform. The platform offers an intuitive content management system that provides medical-grade building blocks so St Luke's and Zendra do not have to reinvent the wheel in terms of co-creating the COVID-19 Self-screening Digital Companion app, gaining insights and securely storing data. This enables Zendra to easily collaborate with to co-create, brand and roll out the solution in days, not months.
Given the urgency of the crisis and Zendra's innovative technology, Zendra will have the pilot app co-developed, tested and deployed to staff within 5 days. Zendra then aims to leverage the success of the pilot to partner with Nursing Homes Ireland to launch nationally within 5 days.
A second company based in the Media Cube, Thinscale Technologies has developed Thin Kiosk software designed to offer clients the opportunity to work remotely and securely and to ensure that previously used computers could be re-used securely.
