Important update from Quality and Qualification Ireland (QQI)
QQI is an independent State agency responsible for promoting quality and accountability in education and training services in Ireland. QQI is following the advice of the public health and education authorities in relation to the crisis and we are putting in place measures to ensure continuity of service to our stakeholders.
QQI is working with partners (including THEA) across the education and training sector to support and provide leadership for FET and HE providers in their efforts to maintain the integrity, quality and standards of the Irish education and training system, at this time of unprecedented challenge.
Key goals are to assure learners that the quality of the qualification they receive in 2020 will be maintained and to provide clarity in relation to guidance concerning alternative arrangements for teaching, learning and especially assessment for the remainder of the academic year 2019/20
